Senate budget roll-out set for 5:30

The Senate will release proposals for the 2011-13 operating and capital budgets after 5:00 p.m. today.

Why so late? The Senate is waiting until the 5:00 p.m. final bill deadline passes. By 5:00 bills that haven’t been approved by the House and Senate die (except bills related to the budget).

The state public affairs channel, TVW has the press conference on its schedule at 5:30 PM. You can watch it live on TV (Ch 9) or online at www.tvw.org.
